The Help

So if you check the kindle bestseller list you'll find the help in top ten, its been that way many months. Anyways, if you think back to the fifties and sixties you might think racism, Martin Luther King Jr., segragation, and change. Well in that time period, maids raised the kids, cleaned, cooked, and did everything and they were African-Americans kept under the thumb of the tyranny of racism. So this story, is about three people, two maids and one Caucasion woman who have a plan and an idea to shake up Jackson, Mississppi and to tell the truth. But they have to be careful. Written by the perspective of each woman you are taken back in time to Jackson, Mississppi in the heat of change. Heartwarming at times, heartbraking at times, and extremely well-written you will be sailed into a story that will always be with you, currently my favorite book I give it FIVE STARS! -RM

Unearthly

Although some of you may already have read it i just wanted to write a review on it. Unearthly is a book about angels and what they were put on earth to do... their purpose. It is written in a fairly conversational way and is a great romance and adventure novel the rising climaxes leave you hanging and wanting more. I got this book before it was published but i love to reread it over and over again just so i can see the bond between the characters. Cynthia Hand's book is a funfilled, thrilling, amazing work. It keeps you on your toes the whole time. Cleverly written, i advise that you get the book as soon as possible because the money is truly worth spending:) take care, JV

Hi everyone sorry i havent been posting but heres a good one. Cleopatras daughter. The book is about a young Egyptian princess who loses evrything when Octavians legions stormed the walls of Alexandria, Egypt. The girl, Selene, and her brothers, Ptolemy and Alexander, have to learn to live in Rome. She tries to keep going in a world where she isn't accepted. Her mother lost Egypt to Rome. Will she ver get it back? Read the last book in a trilogy, Cleopatras daughter. -JV
